Higher Institute for Islamic Banks & Institutions HIBI is one of the major international institutes in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. And the largest seat of higher education in the Far east area. It is a major international center for an excellent integration of Islamic Studies with the General Studies and Studies of Islamic Finance & sharia. The institute provides both the local and foreign students with the facilities of undergraduate studies, postgraduate research and teaching. The standard of teaching is high and the facilities both for academic and extracurricular activities are of High quality. It is a campus oriented institute , where the academic and administrative buildings, residential halls and gymnasium, central cafeteria and auditorium all are on one self-contained 12 acre site beside the highway and about 45 kms south and 39 kms north of respectively the district-towns.

HIBI, having started its academic activities on 2003 now has about 6.5 thousand regular students studying in 13 Academic Departments under 6 Faculties. The main objective for establishing Islamic institute  is “to provide for Graduates Master & PHD in Islamic Finance and other fields of Islamic Studies and comparative jurisprudence and such other items of learning at Graduates and Postgraduate level as the HIBI may think fit and make provision for research including Post-Doctorate research and training for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge”.
